KMDP has been led by Dr. Young Hoon, Kang former prime minister and then president of Korean Red Cross (1st and 2nd President) as well as successive presidents. The development of the program has never been made without the help of prospective donors and donors who have donated their hematopoietic stem cells with out expecting anything in return as well as all the related people who helped us to carry out the program. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the supporters and related organizations.
The program has endeavored to create an environment where the patients in need of bone marrow transplants for the last 27 years. The number of stem donors has steadily gone up to now more than 392,000. Also as of June of 2021, almost 6,000 patients received by means of KMDP. Despite such progress, we will not rest on our laurels but continue to support patients as donors by sharing the joy of new lives and becoming the most trusted organization in the eyes of the donors.
KMDP will always be the companion for the patients with rare blood-related diseases such as leukemia and donors/prospective donors so that all of us could have a healthier and brighter future together.
I wish you and your family a healthy and happy life. Thank you
